Alexander DC Mtambo is the Head of Drones, Global, at Globhe Drones AB, where he oversees drone operations across 148 countries, coordinating a network of over 11,000 drone operators. His expertise lies in utilizing drone and data technology to support sustainable development in climate resilience, environmental conservation, and infrastructure monitoring. Alexander is one of Malawi’s few government-certified drone instructors, accredited by the Malawi Civil Aviation Authority and the Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) in the U.S. His leadership experience includes founding CAGE, a drone company in Malawi, and leading training initiatives at the African Drone and Data Academy, a UNICEF and Virginia Tech partnership. Alexander holds an MSc in Project Management from the University of Malawi, along with other qualifications in engineering and project management. His dedication to innovation in drone technology is matched by a commitment to advancing sustainable practices across Africa.
